I’m an HR veteran with over 20+ years of surviving the corporate jungle and I am currently leading the Global HR function at a tech services company.
I started out as an Emcee, then moved to Sales, until I realised I was best suited for HR. Without any degree in HR, I navigated my way through self-learning and with the guidance of my Manager. Fast forward six years, I was leading a team of HR professionals. I then decided to get fancy with an Executive HR Program at one of India’s top business schools.
Before I could spread my wings in India I moved to Malaysia and landed myself in a role with Apar Technologies Sdn Bhd, an IT Services firm. Since then it’s been a non-stop HR rollercoaster across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Middle East – 13 years and counting.
Aside from my “important” work title, my most prized role is being the mom of an awesome 8-year-old girl. Honestly no title comes close to that one. Motherhood is by far my biggest achievement. It’s not only taught me patience but also honed my multitasking skills to superhero levels.
I love reading, though I’m not exactly the type to finish a book in a weekend.
I am passionate about helping people level up in both their careers and lives. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of guiding, mentoring, and coaching a ton of talented folks, especially in HR, many of whom are now taking over the world (or at least their organizations).
This passion even led me to get a coaching certification, so now I get to help people find clarity and solve problems, whether it’s at work or while figuring out why they still can’t fold a fitted sheet. Honestly, I’m just happy to be making a difference.
I started this website to promote the importance of coaching and to share my somewhat chaotic journey with anyone who might care.
Spoiler alert: I’m not a guru, my advice might not be groundbreaking, and yes, I’ve totally messed up along the way (and will probably keep messing up). But after 20+ years of trying to keep up in the rat race, I’ve learned a thing or two. I love writing (something that I left many years back), so here’s my attempt to turn my thoughts into something useful. If even one article helps you, then I’ve succeeded!
